The MFC Cadet program is your child's next step in soccer development. The Cadet program, also known as Rec-Plus, is a supplemental program that is available to all recreational players aged U7-U12.

Purpose
The Cadets program provides additional training for U7 to U12 players seeking to elevate their game to the next level.
The program is run by MS Rush trained coaches and age-specific curricula that focus on developing and building upon the fundamentals of the game to prepare players for D1 competition.
Overview
The cadets' training season consists of 12 sessions total.
The first 4 sessions are considered “tryouts” where players will be separated by age group and evaluated by the Cadets coaches assigned to the age group.
Post-tryouts, players will be placed on either a tournament team or practice team.
The tournament team will compete in 2 local tournaments against other clubs in the area.
A practice team will only participate in the 12 training sessions and any scrimmages scheduled by the Cadets' coach.
Cadet training is led by an experienced coaching staff and provides a training environment a step above the recreational level. The program is designed to serve as a step between recreational soccer and the Mississippi Rush Futbol Club.
Players participate in the Cadets program in addition to their Recreational team.
Who Can Participate?
- Any player born in 2019 - 2014 that is registered in the MFC recreational program, is looking for a higher level of training, and wants to play more soccer!!!
Registration Information
- You will be able to register your son or daughter through your online PlayMetrics account similar to REC.
- Registration will open on January 5th
- Cost for the initial 4 tryout sessions is $100
Future Cost
- Tournament team fee is $200 per player
- Practice team fee is $100 per player
These fees cover the cost for: training sessions, coaching salary, uniforms, administration & referee fees, and entry fees for the two local tournaments.
Key Points
- It doesn't matter if you cannot attend all of the tryout sessions. However, you must attend at least ONE in order to be considered for a team.
- Team fees can be made in two installments.
